When you have updated your operating system, whatever you are using like windows XP, Windows 7 or the Vista, it comes along with some free features that are meant to help the users. These are also made for the special users. The operating systems that get installed on your system come with these features that help the disabled user but you can do without them. They are a kind of computer help to the users.

But these additional features at times might prove the opposite. Without helping it might create much problem and delay your course of action. The best thing then is to do away with the feature. So, you need to know the ways to stop the feature and deactivate the same. There is certain online technical repair that would guide you the process.

2. Click on the option called “ease of access” and navigate to Ease of Access Center.

3. Click on the option that reads “make the Keyboard easier to use” under “Explore all Settings”.

4. Locate the option “Turn on Sticky keys” under “Make it easier to type”. If your sticky keys are “on” make sure to put it off by unmarking the box in front of it. Save the changed setting and hence click on “Apply” to make the change in effect and then click on “Save”.

However, you have a choice that you can disable the shift sticky key temporarily. The computer technical support will help you follow certain steps that are helpful.

1. Make sure whether the sticky keys are on. Hit the Sticky keys and if it is on then you will hear a small beep coming from the system. Now you need to disable the sticky keys temporarily.

2. Press down the shift keys for some time to stop the sticky keys from working and each time you press the key you will hear a beep. After five continuous beeps the sticky key will get disabled.

However, in-order to reactivate the Shift Sticky Keys, press the key for five times. You will come across a dialogue box that will pop up. Click “OK” to activate the keys or “cancel to stop the keys.
