Management education is considered the most sought after educational degree in all over the world due to its global exposure one gets during the time of study in a MBA college or University. Management education in India has been provided by many leading business schools and universities in India under two separate governing bodies; University Grants Commission (UGC)and All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE). In order take admission in MBA courses, one needs to appear and successfully clear the various entrance exams like the premier Common Admission Test (CAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), ATMA and Joint Management Entrance Test (J-MET) and Open Management Admission Test (OPENMAT) by IGNOU.

There are many takers for this prestigious MBA entrance test in India as well as abroad. From last year, CAT has turned to online mode unlike paper based test in before. The most important aspect of this test is the continuous change of its pattern year after year in order to check an applicant’s aptitude. It has mostly three sections; Reading Comprehension (English), Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning and Logical Ability Test. It’s every section has a specific cutoff in order to clear the written test and one must need to keep in mind at the appearing this test. CAT is considered the toughest MBA entrance test by many MBA experts as per their views one needs to clear the fundamental of Mathematics and English before applying for this test.

Common Admission Test (CAT) is not the end of MBA entrance exams; it’s start and there are many more tests are followed by this test. AIIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is one of the prominent MBA entrance exams in recent years to take admissions into numerous MBA colleges across country. The test pattern of this entrance exam is almost same like CAT but there is one more extra section called General Knowledge with all others including Quantitative, English and Verbal Reasoning sections. This test is conducted in the month of December just after the CAT in November every year. It has total 170 questions running over three hours.
ATMA Entrance Patterns
• ATMA contains 170 questions in six sections
• Duration 0f 3hours
• ATMA Eligibility:
• The candidate must be a citizen of India
• The applicant must be a graduate or has successfully completed 10+2+3 mode of education with any streams including B.A, B.COM or B.Sc.
The candidate who are applying final year can apply.

ICFAI entrance exam

These days, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are offering MBA courses by launching separate campuses for this program. IIT Kharagpur is the first one to launch MBA program in its campus selecting through a specific admission test called Joint Management Admission Test (JMET). This test is only meant for MBA in IITs and its test pattern is similar with CAT by IIMs. Apart from these entrance exams, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is also one of the reputed universities in India for MBA courses. It has a separate entrance exam for its MBA course as it is under the University Grants Commission (UGC) called Open Management Admission Test (OPENMAT). It’s held on second Sunday of February in every year after almost all entrance exams.
