There are gear pump which are used to pump the fluid by displacement. They are been used very commonly for the application of hydraulic fluid power. Gear pumps are used to pump equal amount of fluid every time. They are designed to be either utilized as a pump or as a motor.

Gear pumps are widely used in cars to pump fluid which is either of high or low viciousness. The uses and applications of gear pumps are countless. They are widely used in industries. If you use a car, you need to make sure about the maintenance of the gear pumps for the proper functioning of the car. Gear pumps used in cars have four components, namely pumping chamber, inlet to the pump chamber, outlet to the pump chamber and lastly a couple of meshed gears.

Proper maintenance should be done for the proper functioning of the car; the teeth of the gear chamber should be checked from any symptom of wear and tear to avoid wrong positioning of the gears in the pump.
