Are you crazy about seafood? Do you love to have a sumptuous Sunday lunch with juicy crab cakes? You might often have thought about visiting the newly opened seafood restaurant but felt too lazy to finally go out on the weekend. Here is an easy solution for you. You can check the below seafood recipes and make a treat yourself by preparing crab cakes at home. Even you can ask your friends for a lunch to taste your culinary skill, which they might have doubted about.

This is a very simple and probably the easiest among seafood recipes for the beginners. You can arrange for a lunch of 3-4 people as the dish will be of six servings in amount, and barely need 30 minutes to finish.

Ingredients you need:

One pound of crab meat without the shell
A few finely chopped onions
Half cup of these items - crushed crackers, finely chopped bell pepper, mayonnaise, peanut oil (you can use olive oil instead of peanut oil if you are allergic to peanut products)
One egg
One teaspoon of these items – Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, salt
One fourth tablespoon ...
... garlic powder
Juice of a half lemon
a pinch of Cayenne Pepper
Flour for dusting
Now you are ready to prepare the mouth salivating Crab cakes. Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl, but keep apart the flour and oil. As the dough is prepared, shape as many as possible crab cakes from it. While preparing the cakes, keep in mind that if the cakes are large in size, it will take more time to get fried.

Now you can dust these crab cakes with flour and keep them aside. Heat the oil in a skillet , in medium flame. When the oil is properly heated, fry the floured crab cakes in three or four at a time. Watch for each side of the cakes to be golden brown, as it will prove that the cakes are cooked properly. Flip the cakes cautiously and see the colour turns to brown. But do not overcook as the cakes might get hard.

Seafood recipes are often complicated or too lengthy to follow, but when you will try this one, you will understand that this item can be tried once in a while. So next time when you are ready to host a party, surprise your friends and guests by preparing this delicious dish within a short span of time. You will love the expression in their face after they get to know your expertise.
