You’ve just completed a marketing campaign designed to help attract new clients, which uses colored flyers, paid PPC consultation and even a website designed to help answer any additional questions visitors may have. Thanks to the colored flyers, website and PPC, your salon’s appointment book is beginning to fill up, but the clients who venture to your store see old, broken-down equipment and furniture that can barely withstand use. Much of the furniture and equipment that is spread throughout the salon is old and barely working, and does a terrible job of improving a woman’s look.

Look Professional

Before you decide to launch a new marketing strategy to lure in clients, your first order of business is ensuring that your salon appears professional with the products and furniture it uses. Ripped sofas, damaged manicure chairs and uncomfortable seats all make a customer wish they never set foot in your store, but more importantly, poor maintenance of equipment does not sell the concept of a comfortable, relaxing environment you want people to experience when they do go to your business. You should invest in ...
... your business first before you start any kind of new campaign, because any new visitor that walks in and sees ruined equipment may not come back again. The investment may be great for ordering new salon chairs, new shampoo bowls and even a new set of hair dryers, but the investment you make will pay dividends down the road.

Take a Loan Out

If you’re a new business owner, chances are you got a loan to help open your new salon. If you’re an established owner of an aging salon, you may want to think about taking out a loan as well to help pay for the new salon equipment that will help improve the professional image of your business. Just be sure that you do have enough growth in your business to keep from defaulting on a loan. Showing signs of growth will prove to be a great investment, but if you see your growth as a business as stagnant or your monthly expenses allow you to barely break even, you may not want to get a loan.

Every business owner will have different needs, but one thing is for sure: every owner wants to make sure that her salon looks professional and produces that comfortable feel that clients want. With new furniture and equipment in hand, you can be assured that customers will feel comfortable and will want to come back.
