According to a report by Symantec, Green IT is on its development phase, whether an enterprise is looking at it from certain practices from power management to virtualization or taking the top-level look at the corporate sustainability goals. He asserts that “Perhaps in the past [green IT] was a wish-list item, it's now essential for almost all the companies we surveyed". On this Jose Iglesias commented that “Most IT budgets are declining or staying flat; so the fact that these numbers are rising is pretty remarkable”.
