When I Learned About Revenue Cycle Management Software, I Knew That We Were At The Cusp Of A New Da
I swear, we spent more time being hassled by claim rejections than getting any actual work done before we invested in some revenue cycle management software. The people in charge must have had some strong feelings about wood pulp since we had to use paper for every tiny little thing we did, meaning that I was required to deal with our stupid printer that seemingly broke down every week and got jammed with every other piece of paper that we put through it.
Eventually, I had had enough, and told my boss at the clinic that what we were doing was a huge waste of time. It was a bold step for me, as I am usually a pretty timid person, but when I got the fourth claim rejection of the day, I was just fed up. I did some research about different ways to deal with this and found to my everlasting surprise that there is software that is specifically designed to deal with these situations.
My boss was struck with what I told him and told me to find out which software is the best and which would be the most cost-effective for our clinic. I saw the possibilities in this assignment and set to this job with firm dedication, ...
... not glancing up from my desk for many hours. As I did my research, some of my co-workers asked me what I was up to. I let them know about the software I was studying and each person's face lit up with anticipation.
I was told that should my efforts prove successful, they would take up a collection aimed at getting a monument built in my honor in the parking lot. It was gratifying to see that everyone else wished to make the office function more efficiently. Finally, I made my complete pitch to the boss and explained the pros and cons of each kind of software, carefully saving my ideal one for the end of the presentation. It was pretty much a given that the big boss and those in charge would sign on for my project, so I went ahead and persuaded them that we also needed web based Electronic Medical Records Software in order to be truly competitive in our field.
It has been several months since that meeting and I am enjoying how much the revenue cycle management software has changed the way our clinic operates. We have already seen an increase in our profits and a decrease in our time squandered. The doctors are gigantic fans of our new way of doing things and I get a lot of praise for my efforts. For me personally, I have been given a raise and a promotion, and I'm glad to have made an impact.
All the desired information will be open on Revenue cycle management and EHR Software. Greetings to Armando J. Wamsley for the help on spreading this article.
