The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board or DSSSB was instituted in 1997. From Past 15 years, it has developed its credibility to recruit the capable, skilled and competent individuals through various exams, tests and interviews. This institute promises a fair selection of every eligible candidate for the user departments. The DSSSB Recruitment procedure includes the high standards of recruiting the work force. The written test for the post is divided into two parts, the preliminary or the objective type and the Main Descriptive examination. For both the exams, the subjects to study are General Awareness, Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning and General English. All these subjects carry equal marks and in order to pass the exam, a candidate has to get a minimum score of 40% in the above-mentioned subjects. There is no prescribed preparation book available in the market but the questions, which are asked in the exams, are easily available in the NCERT books. Apart from these subjects, questions related to special education are also an important part of the question paper. The candidates who qualify in both the exams will be shortlisted for the Interview round. The decision made by Interview panel will be considered as the final decision from DSSSB Recruitment panel. The DSSSB is providing its services to cater to group B and C posts from different departments. All these departments belong to the National Capitol region’s govt. i.e. Delhi govt. The electricity board and the municipal corporation of Delhi are the main independent bodies under the Board’s jurisdiction.
