There is no doubt about the fact that holding your baby for the first time is truly one of the most memorable moments in life. The joy will stay on. But if you are on a long maternity leave, then as time passes by you will slowly feeling the pressure of having to think about how you are going to maintain a balance between your motherhood and office work. If there is that pressure on you to return to work after a long maternity leave, then it might put you into a bit of bother as well. It is obviously going to be very difficult on your part to leave your month-old baby at home with any of the elder person and go to work. It will definitely take your child at least a couple or three years to be able to adjust with his/her grandparents or the babysitter while you are away at work.

Returning to work after having a baby
I am sure all the women who return to work after having a baby will have the guilt that may make them think as though they are being selfish or a bit unkind to their little baby and go to work. Just imagine, the pressure at office and the pressure of battling motherhood will keep playing on the minds ...
... of women. How you are going to maintain a balance between the two and overcome the pressure is where the trick lies.

After the birth of your child, you may start working on a plan as to how you are going to cope up with returning to work. The first thing you may want to think about who is going to take care of your baby and how? Make sure there is more than one person to take care of your child when you and your husband are away at work. And it would also be good to divide the responsibility with your husband.

Since the mother herself is recovering from the stress and pressure of motherhood and work respectively, it would be of great help to her if she gets a helping hand from none other than her husband because it is the parents who can take the best care of their child. This will take a lot of pressure of the moms. For this purpose, you may ask your husband to spend some time with the child when you can’t. That is, there will be emergency situations when you may get a call from the babysitter sometimes where you may be asked to come back in situations where the child is not taking his food, or has fallen down somewhere or has suddenly fallen sick. I am not trying to be pessimistic by saying things like these. I am just saying these are the probabilities you may have to be prepared to face.

As a mom, another thing you need to keep in mind is that, you need to take adequate rest yourself in order to protect your health. Don’t get burned out by all the workload that you have to overcome every day. After returning home from work, you may relax for sometime by taking a quick nap, that is, after feeding your baby. If you are too tired then you may get the help of someone in your house to do the kitchen work, be it your husband or parents.

And make sure you don’t bring your office work to your home. This could be very difficult to deal with. When you are at office, make sure that you wind up the entire work for the day before you leave home. You may surf the web for additional information about taking care of your baby while you are working. You may enjoy the reliable services such as the ones offered by Charter Communications and surf the web for more information. In conclusion, planning is the first step that is going to help you meet the demands of battling house work and office work.
