One of the important questions that you need to ask yourself is whether or not you are drinking enough water. Many of us consider whether or not the quality of water we drink is up to the par, but not necessarily the amount you are taking in. We all know like how much important Dish TV packages are, in the same way water is important for us. The human body is made up of 75% of water and going without water for just a few days could cause a person to die. Every living creature depends on water to live and one of the shocking facts is that majority of people chronically suffer from dehydration.

Just because water is easily accessible, we take it for granted and many of us don't realize the importance of proper hydration. Experts all over the world rank water second to oxygen as essential for life. Water is indeed an essential nutrient. A person can survive for two months without food but can only survive a few days without water.

Many times, our bodies cry for water by sending a signal, yet we ignore these signals. Even worse we take prescription medications to silence these signals and dehydrate our bodies even ...
... more. Our body loses water every day. We sweat, urinate, excrete fluids and breathe daily causing to lose two or three quarts of water. This just shows the amount of water lost through natural means. In addition, to these losses, we introduce exercising and high fiber diets adding to our daily water loss. Also we consume dehydrating beverages such as caffeinated beverages and alcohol resulting in yet, even more water loss. There are multiple reasons our bodies lose water, but one thing is for certain, it is important to continually replenish it.

Besides that, there are many other reasons why water is so important in our life. Our brain consists of 90% of water. So an easy way to be smarter in school is to stay hydrated by drinking a lot of water. Also drinking plenty of water is necessary to be energetic. The reason is because water creates electrical and magnetic energy in every cell of the body and provides a natural boost of power.

Also our bodies are more likely to get sick without plenty of water. There are lots of symptoms associated with lack of hydration and they can be prevented by simply drinking plenty of water every day. Just a few of these health problems are weight gain, constipation, eczema and urinary infections. Not only that drinking water is important for the heart. There are tubes in your heart called arteries and drinking plenty of water is required to keep those arteries from getting all clogged up. A clogged artery in the heart is like a clogged drain. It is quite difficult to circulate through the heart and body if the artery is closed up like that.

By assessing your daily intake of water and recognizing its importance, you must then consider the quality of water you are drinking. Heavily chlorinated, chemical ridden and denatured water, such as the water we receive from our taps, also have links to serious health problems. By treating your water with a good water filter, your water will become easier and more pleasant to drink, and because of its instant absorption by your body, you will be better hydrated. Its treatment of chlorine will also reduce or eliminate its harmful effects on your body, making your tap water safer to drink.

As per doctors and physicians, every human being has to drink at least eight glasses of water in a day. This means actual water, not water mixed with coffee, tea, juice, sports drink, soft drink, etc. Now the question that you must ask yourself is how much water are you drinking in a day.
