So we are in a recession – time to throw in the towel or work harder and smarter?

As a Sales Keynote speaker, it is my opinion that the latter is the only appropriate strategy.

Here are a few reasons to be positive:

1. Perseverance pays – coincidentally one of the biggest contracts I got last year was from an agent I have been in contact with for TEN YEARS - this was the first time he worked with me. In that ten years, I prodded him three or four times a year with quality content – could be a new book/article/testimonial from a previous conference/video footage etc. The message is clear – if you have an excellent product or service – keep telling key decision makers about it in a strategic and non spam way.

2. Big world – small company! Oftentimes we forget that the world is at our fingertips and is ready to hear our message. With the internet, it is possible to become an overnight success on YouTube! Failing this it is possible to design a World Class website at minimal cost. With good Search Engine Optimisation, you can get on the first page within nine months for your keyword. If you ...
... have an excellent product or service, this means that you can tell your story to billions of people – the opportunity is all yours!

3. Customer service levels on the wane – can you up your service and give customers another reason to choose you in the future? As many Sales Gurus have advocated in the past – focusing on building on existing relationships will reap more financial reward than working on attracting new clients through the door. Adding even more value to your selling proposition should have a positive impact on your bottom line.

4. “I think, therefore I am,” asserts Descartes – the key message is to develop the correct mental attitude – develop a resilience that allows you to become comfortable in the uncomfortable. The right attitude precedes the right action. The right action will allow you to survive and thrive in challenging times. And remember as day follows night, as light follows dark..the markets will recover and you will be lean, fit and ready to benefit from the upturn.

As a Keynote Sales Speaker , I recommend you persevere, open your mind and horizons, focus on Xceptionalizing your customer service and develop a winning mentality.
