The Web Based Electronic Medical Records Software That We Use In Our Medical Office Has Made My Life
As an employee in the medical field, I have become a great supporter for the new web based Electronic Medical Records software, as it has been a great boon to our industry. I've been a nurse at a clinic for twenty years now and sometimes, when I remember the old ways of doing things, I cringe. It used to be that when a doctor was out somewhere and needed to look at a patient's records, we had to fax them somewhere and it was nearly always a major hassle.
Now however, I am able to simply send patient records right to the doctor's Ipad, where he can see it and make updates, and go on his way just like that. This happened most recently when our OB-GYN was at the hospital for the delivery of a new baby, and one of his patients came into our clinic with some urgent issues.
We called the doctor right away, but he was not able to get back to the clinic soon enough, and he needed to see her health records before he could tell us what we should do. Well, I simply sent him the electronic records and he examined them, wrote down a few notes, and sent them back. I was then able to help the patient according to the ...
... notes the doctor had sent over, and the patient left with the help they needed and felt completely satisfied.
This system is nice even for everyday use. The doctors can use their tablet computers during their appointments, being able to access the web based EHR software which includes all the patient's medical history and information the doctor needs, and he is then able to add to it and update it during the appointment. This saves everyone time, especially us nurses, since this way we don't have to spend all day updating the patient's files with the doctor's notes.
It also enables patients to access some of their own information online after the appointment. A patient is then allowed to go home and look at their own medical records online once they have been updated. This makes it simpler for the patient to review what the doctor told him and learn more about their symptoms and condition. Web based Electronic Medical Records Software is a wonderful tool for making medical work better and more efficient for any of those who work, as I do, in the medical field. I am very content with what I do and I love being able to work with patients, and I love that this new technology really allows me to do just that, instead of spending most of my time on the computer.
For any suggestion and development of the subject follow EMR software or EHR. Just want to extend my appreciation to Franky U. Lewis for all the help in the fulfillment of the subject.
