Marble rocks at Bhedaghat are beautiful place to boat around. Moonlight on magnesium limestone rocks, on both the sides of river Narmada at Bhedaghat, is a never-forgettable experience.

You can also enjoy still-water rafting on Betwa River in Orchha. If trekking and mountaineering is your love interests, then Amarkantak and Satpura-Panchmarhi are major attractions.

Heritage

The state hosts several heritage sites. UNESCO declared 4 of them as World Heritage Sites. They are

1. Khajuraho Group of Monuments
2. Devi agadambi Temple
3. Sanchi Stupa
4 Rock shelters at Bhimbetka

The region’s historical importance attracted several dynasties and rulers. And result is numerous palaces. Prominent of them are Jai Vilas Palace of Gwalior, Rajwada Palace of Indore and Jahaz Mahal of Mandu.

For strategic importance, Madhya Pradesh also homes several forts. Some of them are Gwalior fort, Chauragarh fort, Dhar fort, Asigarh fort and Bandhavgarh fort.

Numerous historically important monuments also welcome you in the state. Some of them are Shivpuri chhatris, Krishnapura chhatris and Bundela chhatris. You should take your time out to listen to their histories.

Religious interests

The state also hosts several pilgrimage locations like, Bharat mandir at Chitrakoot, Omkar Mandhata temple, Narmada kund at Amarkantak and Baneshwar temple at Maheswar.
