Speck Iguy - A Child-friendly Ipad 2 Case
Speck iGuy is a shock-resistant and child-friendly iPad 2 case.
I bought an iPad 2 few months ago and without thinking much about it, I bought at the same time Apple's Smart iPad 2 case. There's nothing wrong with it really, but it only protects the front and are not very child friendly.
I've now tested a different case, Speck iGuy iPad 2 case. The case seemed to fit me very well because my children often use my iPad and I need a tough iPad 2 case to protect against rough handling.
"Speck iGuy iPad 2 case” works for both iPad and iPad 2. However, I have only tested with an iPad 2.
It was pretty easy to put my device into the iPad 2 case. And I am confident that my children will not manage to get it out from there. It feels important. Besides, I had previous problems with the children and then press the volume and on / off button. In this iPad 2 case it is a little harder to access these keys, which I experience as an advantage. But if you have older children who want to adjust the controls, it may be a slight disadvantage.
Speck iGuy iPad 2 case is available in several colours: green, orange ...
... and blue. It is made from thick foam, and feels very shock resistant. The iPad 2 case protects both front and back, but not the glass itself. Presumably, the iPad get along very well if it fell on a floor 1-2 meters.
On the underside, there are two heavy legs. The legs are a bit wobbly, but on a flat surface are nevertheless quite steadily. And you need not worry for it to fall over because this iPad 2 case is protective.
The arms of this iPad 2 case work well to hold on to when you look at a book-app or a movie. Unfortunately the arms are quite soft and cannot therefore to sustain the iPad properly. When using the arms must be borne in two at the same time making it difficult to use conventional apps simultaneously.
This iPad 2 case is thicker on one side (where the legs are). This means you can have it lying on the table, upside down, and thus get a good angle on the screen. This works very well for the most part, but a few apps are not able to rotate and then one can be forced to have the thick side against him.
The material on "Speck iGuy iPad 2 case" is not slippery, so it is fairly steady for instance; they put it on a table.
I recommend "Speck iGuy iPad 2 case” for children up to 6 years. The legs and arms, we have not had any direct benefit. But it looks like a funny figure will not hurt. What I like best with this iPad 2 case is that the material is so thick. This piece of iPad accessories makes me feel confident about lending iPad to my children.
