Dream is a reflection of thoughts and actions we have been through. If we are to believe soothsayers they can even mean an impending pleasant affair or a bad omen that is about to take place. Technically it is bits of information that are stored in the brain cell. Sleep scientists say that dreams take place only during the rapid eye movement cycle when an individual is asleep. But dream cannot be dismissed lightly as a chemical reaction within the brain. For ages they are believed to have some relevancy to what is about to follow. If that is too difficult information to digest, then you can talk to real people who have experienced it.

Dreams have no meanings. Sometimes, it’s difficult and pointless to interpret them. Your subconscious minds dreams about the oddest things that you picked during the day, last month or at some insignificant time in your life. Other times, you dream about acing tomorrow’s test, or buying a new dress, and surprise, surprise-it happens! You probably won’t remember that you dreamed about the same thing or maybe you do and you will be taken aback. Science says dreams are nothing but a reflection ...
... of your own thoughts. The inner subconscious thoughts that you lock away and throw the key, you guard it even from yourself. The subconscious’s only let out of these thoughts is dreaming. When you dream about good things-it doesn’t mean that something happy happened to you. It’s probably just a recollection of happy times. The same thing with nightmares-you would get them after watching horror movies and perhaps the same dream would appear ten years later, and you wouldn’t know it. It’s always about your forgotten feelings.

There are superstitious beliefs even for dreams! Many consider it a good omen when they dream of a water fall, a huge house, etc. at the same time it is considered a bad omen when someone dreams of someone crying, night time, lost is a maze, see a snake, etc. what many don’t realize is the fact that most of our dreams are what our sub consciousness ponders. For example, a woman who does not have a baby dreams of having a couple of children, a guy who likes girl dreams of falling in love with her, etc. so dreams are more of our wishful thinking or an mirage of a past incident.

We all have dreams in our sleep. Someone will have a frightening dream, while someone will have a soothing dream. Those who have sweet dreams will experience a peace of mind, when they awake. Though dreams are some hallucinations, still it has some connection with our present and past life. I mostly prefer to see good dreams. In most of the dreams, we will see something that is impossible for us to achieve in our real life. That means, in dreams we will be the princess with lots of people surrounding us and waiting for our orders. That thought might give us a good feeling. So dreams with happy ending can always make us happier in our real life.

Having nightmares can be terrible. We all have nightmare and know how it feels like getting up from one. Nightmares are caused by anxiety or stress that we must have suffered in our life. Our brain does not go to sleep and triggers this vision that is known as nightmare that causes us to just get up startled in the night. Nightmares are more common among kids than adults. It is because most of the kids cannot get relieve stress when compared to adults. Other reasons for horrifying nightmares could be illness due to fear, death of a loved one, side effect of a drug, and the list goes one. One is thing is sure, every one of us must had nightmares at least once in our life.

After having seen the different kinds of dreams, sometimes we need to think to ourselves whether people like to have dreams or not. Through this article we have seen the positives and negative aspects of dreams, most of it are psychological. People love to have good dreams and they like to narrate their dream most commonly. Sometimes people do narrate bad dreams as well. However, people have day dreams as well. Day dreaming can be anywhere and sometimes happen while working as well. This could be sometimes stated as lost in thoughts. However, to summarize dreams are always related to some aspect of our lives most often.
