Crd For Quick And Flexible Distribution Of Business Reports

For commercial organizations, it is important to update and send reports containing crucial business information, on time. Reports are the flexible ways of viewing, editing and printing summarized information from different departments of a business such as the Human Resources (HR), Finance and Accounts, Operations, Marketing, Advertising and PR. A report can also have graphs and pictures to display the information in a more comprehensible and lucid manner. Crystal Reports Distribution or CRD lets users create, edit and manage various business reports effectively.
To use CRD you simply need to select columns and rows from a database such as Sybase, Ingres, Microsoft Access, MySQL, Interbase or Oracle. After this the format of graphs for report needs to be chosen. This could be pie charts, bar charts or cross-tab summary tables. The report gets saved as an RPT file. It can then be previewed on the screen and printed or exported in other formats including MS Word, MS Excel, HTML, RTF, text format and others. CRD as a Crystal Reports scheduler saves a lot of time by making it easier to automate Crystal Report distribution. ...

The increasing load of work and strict deadlines in business organizations make it necessary to employ effective IT tools that enable report generation and distribution in automated, yet well controlled manner. CRD lets you schedule reports for specific days and timings or at hourly, daily, weekly and monthly intervals. The same report can also be set to run multiple times in different formats and/or at different destinations. The ‘Package Reports’ feature of CRD helps to choose different reports for a customized ‘package’. This combination of reports can then be sent in a single E mail or output into a defined folder. It just calls for a modification of the report’s formula fields – Record Selection and Group Selection.
With CRD as a Crystal Reports scheduler, the need for manual intervention in report creation and distribution decreases substantially. Business executives and managers can ensure that reports with accurate and up to date information are sent to intended destination always in time.
CRD is very user-friendly and can work in different versions of operating systems including Windows NT4SP6a, Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista 64 and Windows Server 2008.
