When I First Found Play Tents, I Was Convinced That They Would Be Wonderful For My Own Kids

I immediately knew I wanted to buy the play tents for my children after I witnessed my nieces and nephews playing with theirs. I was in Las Vegas for a work conference and was excited to get the chance to visit with my sister who has five wonderful children all under the age of ten. My own two daughters are about the same age, and I was sad that I did not get to bring them along on this trip, but that's how life goes sometimes.

On the second day of the conference, the meetings ended early and so I was able to go over to my sister's house to have dinner with them and enjoy a great evening together. Our dinner was wonderful and I was able to have a nice chat with my sister and her husband Paul. Afterwards, I took advantage of the chance to play with my nieces in their small playroom. We simply had so much fun playing with all of their toys, and the favorites by far were their play tents.

Their favorite game was one where I pretended to be an explorer camping out in my tent and they were monkeys hiding in the jungle that I would pretend to adopt. They especially liked pretending to be alligators in a moat ...
... surrounding my tent that would nab me if I tried to get out. We played this game for about half an hour, when they came up with a new idea.

This time, I was Sasquatch and they were campers in the forest. I roared and stomped outside of their tent while they clung to each other inside the tent shrieking and laughing. The time flew and we soon found that it was bedtime for the kids, so we had to stop our playtime. I helped the children tidy up the playroom and get dressed for bed.

In their bedrooms, I found that each child had their bed tents on the floor of their room. My sister explained that they had so loved playing in their regular tents that when they found these bed versions, they had to buy them. The children were so trouble-free to get to bed, and they told me it was because they were so happy to get into their tents. When the kids were asleep I went back to the motel so I would be rested for the rest of the conference the next day, but I absolutely knew that as soon as I got home I would be ordering some for my kids!
