What Are The Bear Species?

Bear Species is a mammal and is part of the family Ursidae. They belong to the caniforms and have the pinnipeds as their closest relatives. Sadly, only 8 species of bears survive worldwide and they may be found somewhere in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. Bears may be found in North America, Europe, Asia and South America.

One of the great traits of bears is having a large body with flabby legs, big snout, long hair, five claws, short tail and plantigrade paws. Six of the species such as polar bear habitat are omnivorous which implies they eat both plants and some animals while the polar bear is carnivorous while the panda bear eats bamboo only.

Bears live a solitary existence. They can be active day and night but may be active at night especially at twilight when it comes around with humans. These species are gifted with great sense of smell and even though they are heavily guild with gait that is quite awkward to check out they are brilliant runners, climbers and swimmers as well.

Many scientists are now worried about the existence of other Bear like the black bear that may be endangered. For that reason, it is now illegal to trade products from bear such as bear meat or fur. Though there are still those who illegally poach bears and trade their products, experts along with lawmakers, are working together to stop these animal crimes so the bear species would still live on.

We typically see bears in zoos and because of this many bear specie cartoon character appear in television. This has brought amazing and positive feedbacks in regards to children. Usually, it is the common notion of individuals that Bears are frightening but they may also be adorable. Usually, bear attacks only happen if the bear is provoked. Those who live in thick, forested regions, may just be susceptible to bear attacks, however, these people can be knowledgeable enough to avoid and survive these attacks without intentionally harming the mammals.
