There are lots of gadgets to purchase today. How does the iPhone compare to the iPad? The iPhone, to those who own one, is an incredible piece of equipment, helping them organise their business and social lives, catch up on e-mail, and never ever be away from social media. Now that we have the iPad as well, you wonder, what's the difference? Is the iPad just a big iPhone for people with big hands?

Well there are actually quite a number of differences that together make the iPad a different machine than its smaller cousin. First up is that of memory, with the iPad having more, lots more. In this day and age, it's these kind of tech jumps that make the new stuff seem cooler.

The speed with which you can surf the net on an iPad is also quicker, for two obvious reasons. While the processor is similar between the two machines, the iPad is quicker. The second reason is that with less zooming, pinching and unzooming that you will do on an iPhone, you have more time to actually read what you are doing.

It may seem unfair, and a cheap shot, but pretty much all iPhone problems (at least in relation to the iPad) stem ...
... from its size, yes, it does matter. I know that personally it can really get in the way (and this from an addict) when using the net. You are trying to navigate your way through a particular site, and you keep pressing links or ads or whatever, that you don't mean to, sending you frustratingly away from where you want to be.

The iPhone, with its complex interiors, is well worth recycling by the way. There is contained within, many hard to find materials that would be put to use in a new machine, so recycle, it makes sense.

Using the iPad means a bigger keyboard with more room for your fingers to type on, and an external keyboard should you want one. A 9.7 inch display screen means you have a bigger screen to a look at also. Should you be looking at iBooks, you will have a very enjoyable experience. This brings me neatly onto the apps that are dedicated to the iPad. There are literally thousands of them, and many of them make use of the increased size, so for instance you can see newspapers in their prints format or maps in both higher resolution and bigger size.
