Sao Paulo is the largest city in South America with more than 20 million people spread over 7,800 kms. • Liberdale: The 1.5 million people of Japanese descent have settled in Liberdale and have lent their distinct style to the place. In fact the place is so popular that when Prince Akihito and Princess Michiko of Japan visited Brazil, they made it a point to visit Liberdale. But don’t imagine something exotic as you are sure to be disappointed, because the goods sold here display good that are ‘supposedly sold in Japan’, but actually ‘Made in China’. Food too is sold as Japanese, but made predominantly by Brazilians of Chinese and Korean descent.
