I have a strong emotional connection with the quiet little hilly town of Pennsylvania. I have spent the best and worst days of my life with my loved ones. It is a peaceful place to visit and brings me those loving memories of the past. Though I am not sure if I will ever get a chance to visit Pennsylvania again in my future, it will always be close to my heart. Now my friend makes it a point to bring me and my kid those famous Hershey chocolates. I fondly remember my professors of the Penn state University who were kind enough to impart knowledge and skills in me. Do you want to know what this hilly state has to offer?

Also known as the Keystone state and Quaker state, it is the 33rd largest state in the United States. There are plenty of things in store for visitors. You will find the bigger cities in this state being cultural and diverse. If you have a flair for outdoor activities, the national parks are the perfect places to visit. Philadelphia or Philly as it is fondly called is one historical place to visit in Pennsylvania. You can find numerous old buildings and monuments in this city. One thing that is worth mentioning is that it is also the largest city in Pennsylvania. The declaration of Independence was signed here at the Independence hall. It’s a very happening place filled with numerous attractions and entertainment. Entertainment is the key factor in every city. At the end of the day, everyone resorts back to some form of fun and entertainment after a hectic schedule. This historical place has a lot to teach tourists about life in America during the early years.

If you are an art lover, the Barnes Foundation is one place you don’t want to miss. Here you will find the collections of great pieces of art such as Picasso, Matisse, Cézanne, Renoir and Modigliani. There is a huge arboretum which surrounds the Foundation’s Art Gallery. You can experience a sense of serenity and tranquility as it is filled with beautiful flower gardens and rare trees. The long wood gardens are literally a visual treat and you have to watch these gardens during Christmas when they are all lit up and shining like diamonds hanging over. You can visit this place any part of the year and I assure you that you will not be disappointed. For those who would like to taste some thrill and adventure and pep up their adrenaline, I would advise them to take a ghost tour through the streets of Gettysburg.

The Conneaut Lake which is the largest natural lake in Pennsylvania is great for people who like swimming, water skiing, fishing or just simply relaxing and watching the natural beauty. I used to sit there for hours reading my favorite books having a quiet chat with my best friend. It would be actually unfair if I do not mention the famous Hershey. The chocolates just used to melt inside our mouths. I used to eat them over and over and I never used to be tired of them. Now after having moved to Los Angeles after marriage, I fondly remember those golden times which I spent together with my loved ones. These days, it is a pleasure to watch shows about my own Quaker State on TV from service providers such as Dish hd.
