How To Maintain Road Discipline
Ever since we were in school, our teachers have taught us a few ground rules of road discipline. Always walk on the footpath, cross from a zebra crossing, wait until the traffic lights turn red and always walk on the left hand side of the road. These are the basics of walking on the road for pedestrians. Similarly, there are basic disciplinary elements for those who drive cars and other vehicles on the road. It is by the virtue of following these rules that both pedestrians as well as vehicle drivers are simultaneously using the road without any accidents. When either of this group breaks these rules, accidents take place.
In this write-up, we will discuss a few basic rules that vehicle drivers need to follow in order to keep the road discipline going.
1) Always follow the speed rules – in some areas where high traffic density is observed drivers are not allowed to go beyond a specified speed limit. This is for the safety of the driver, vehicles as well as people on the road. Always stick to the designated speed limit for the area. Your minor slip may cost you your own life or the life of another innocent person ...

2) Never underestimate speed-breakers – Especially when one is driving trough narrow by lanes, speed breakers can found at every stretch. Bring down your speed as you approach one as if you do not your vehicle my skid off the lane or lose balance causing grievous injuries to yourself and others.
3) Respect security barriers – Agreed you are not a criminal, it is also possible that you will be in a hurry, but always remember that you should never ever speed through a security barrier. Stop your car and show your respect towards it. By not doing so, you are inviting troubles from many quarters.
4) Stop at red lights – One of the most commonly flouted rules is jumping red lights. We Indians are quite good at doing so. However, it is an utterly irresponsible act as we may end up running over innocent pedestrians at the same time causing fatal accidents and clashes with traffic approaching from the other end.
5) Do not drive on the footpath – sometimes to avoid the serpentine traffic bottleneck, two-wheeler drivers get on to the footpaths. Always remember, footpaths are for the people who are walking on the road. There might be women and children walking on the footpath and it’s important that they are given the space they have a right on. Just by saving a few extra minutes you are posing a great security threat to these people at the same time putting your life under serious risk too.
6) Stick to your lane – most accidents in this country take place because we don not stick to the specified lanes. Lane driving is exteremely crucial and it is our duty to follow the rule.
Understanding the tendency of breaking rules, government of India has taken many traffic safety measures. There are speed breakers, red lights, overhead bridges, and impact barriers put up everywhere so that fatal accidents can be avoided. However, it is our responsibility to protect these Impact Barrier and foot over bridges, as they are public property used for our own safety.
Traffic safety india provides a great range of road safety equipment like Impact Barrier, highway barriers and Security Barriers. The best quality of raw materials is used in the creation of traffic safety products and Road Safety products that always exceed customer satisfaction.
