Home Builders Association Of Greater Kansas City Launches New Website
Visitors to the HBA Website, www.kchba.org, will see a new dynamic design with updated features and functions that will better serve the members and the public. The project’s overall goal was to accurately reflect the HBA’s role as “The Voice of the Housing Industry.”
The HBA enlisted the services of WSI Internet Advantage to rebuild the website with the following objectives in mind:
• Update the look and feel to be beautiful, functional, and efficient
• Provide technology that is dependable and responsive
• Simplify the structure and design for easier navigation
• Provide a platform to effortlessly communicate the latest news and events in the housing industry.
Greg Stollsteimer, WSI Internet Advantage, helped the HBA incorporate proven fundamentals of marketing and communications while taking advantage of the very latest in Internet technology. One of those features is the integration of social media. “With 5 billion views of videos in the U.S. on YouTube last year, 3 million Tweets a day on Twitter, and over 800 million Facebook users, it was clear that social media ...
... needed to be an important part of the HBA’s communication strategy,” said Stollsteimer. “By linking the website to these three important platforms, hosting their videos on their YouTube channel, automatically pushing news feeds to Facebook and Twitter, and providing ‘share’ icons on each post, the HBA hopes to engage their members and the public with meaningful information about the housing industry.”
This website update is part of a new phase for the HBA as it recently welcomed 2012 Board President, Kevin Stucker. As he looks toward the upcoming year, Stucker starts by reflecting back on recent association accomplishments. “We have made great strides and improvements through re-tooling and reorganization,” said Stucker. “We’ve had to stay adept for this economy and I’m pleased to say the HBA is doing just that.” Stucker wants 2012 to have a focus on consumer awareness. “Consumers need to know we are experts in the housing industry so they turn to the HBA and its members for information and answers,” said Stucker. “I hope throughout my presidency, we will able to bolster ourselves as being The Voice of the Housing Industry and the new website and social media will play an important role in this initiative.”
