Time waits for no man. So the saying goes. And as far as antiquated single line philosophies go, it’s really rather good. When you’re young, days seem like decades and weeks take an eternity to reach their end. Then, when you hit the age of about 21, something happens. Someone hits the fast forward button on the great big remote control of life and everything whizzes past. They also take the batteries out, so don’t even bother trying to press the pause button. Time passes. We all have to accept it.

But, that slightly depressing certainty aside, doesn’t mean we can’t get the most out of life, however fast it’s passing. There’s one key thing you need to remember: live for today. There’s no point planning on buying a Jeep next month, or next year. You never know what life has in store. But get one today and you can have a slightly clearer picture. Your future without a Jeep is blurry but, with a Jeep, you can clearly see a future of fun and adventure.

The 2011 Jeep range needs to be explored in full. The Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited are the cars that defined a generation of rugged 4x4s. The Cherokee ...
... and Grand Cherokee are the epitome of 4WD luxury. The Patriot, bold and confident, is perfect for any environment, rural or urban. And the Compass, the new addition to the range, with its elegant curves, knows exactly where it’s going.

This is a range to be desired and envied. But more than that, it’s a range that’s longing to be driven. Not tomorrow, today. Just think of all the things you could do with a 2011 Jeep. The road trip you’ve been ‘planning’ for years. The camping trip you’ve been promising the kids for too long. Whatever it is you’ve always wanted to do, now is the time to do it.

We can’t slow down time or turn the clock back (to be honest, going back in time works better in your head than it ever would in reality). The hands tick on and we should relish what the future is going to bring. And if you know you can enjoy the future with the 3.8-litre overhead valve 60-degree V6 engine, that comes as standard in the Wrangler, or the 782-litres of cargo space in the back of a Grand Cherokee, then you know it’s not going to be too bad.

The message Old Father Time is giving us is clear: live for today because by tomorrow, it will be gone and you won’t be able to get it back. Get a Jeep today and you can be gone tomorrow.
