The scientific name for koala Bear is Phascolarctos cinereus and is a part of an arboreal marsupial with a despairing similarities of a wombat. Koala Bear place their young after birth inside their pouch which is similar to kangaroos and wombats. Because their offspring is placed inside their pouch for up to 6 months, their length usually is 1/4 of an inch only.

When inside their mother's pouch, they can not see, no ears, and no fur. They usually develop these lacking senses after their next six months and their diet usually consists of their mother's milk. After the next six months, the offspring will begin their journey outside their mother's pouch but still remains on her side and rides on her back until the offspring is a year old.

Curiously, koala Bear may be seen in Australia only. They are herbivores and their diet usually consists of eucalyptus leaves. They have digestive systems that are slow and for this reason they move slow as well. They usually sleep for at least 19 hours and the remaining five hours will be spent in looking for food and eating.

Koala Species Of Bears have fingerprints but ...
... doesn't look much from our human fingerprints. Unlike other bears, they live in groups and typically socialize. They are territorial type of bear and that they also form bonds and relationship with other communities as well. They each have their own individual trees which they've home boundaries that overlap with other koalas and live peacefully with other koala Bear. They usually mark their own tree by their very own scent and spends time communicating with their neighbors. A smart way of communicating between mother and the offspring is by humming and in a clicking sound. When they create a high piercing type of yell this usually signals other koalas that they are in distress and warn them that a danger is coming.

When it comes to their diet, koala Bears typically eat eucalyptus tree. When the eucalyptus forest was harvested, their species where threatened to be extinct. Nearly 80% of the forest was harvested and none of them are protected by their government. In reality, the lands that occupied by the eucalyptus forest is privately owned that is why government can't do anything concerning the destruction of trees. Reasons why koala Species Of Bears are extinct is due to deforestation, harvesting of koala bears and forest fires as well.
