These tires feature a directional tread design with three different types of sipes to provide superior traction. The central tread block is designed with “pulling” sipes to improve traction while accelerating/braking, while the intermediate blocks have high-amplitude sipes for better lateral stability. Lastly, the outlying shoulder blocks have a 3D sipe-interlocking design for an increased dry road experience while maintaining the flexibility necessary to improve snow and ice traction.
Pirelli Winter 190 Snowcontrol
Mounted on 15” steel rims with covers, these performance snow tires are spec’d at 175/65/R15 84T (excluding S and JCW models) and also have the severe snow rating stamp of approval. Featuring a high-silica tread compound, a siped, directional tread pattern and twin steel belts reinforced with nylon improve high-speed durability.
Pirelli W240 Snowsport, Run-Flat
Severe snow rated and high-speed performance-ready, the Pirelli Snowsport tires’ specs are 205/45/R17 84V and mounted on 17” flame-spoke alloy rims. With an asymmetrical tread and broad shoulder blocks to enhance dry-road handling, these tires are made from a pure silica compound. With the wide grooves and variable geometry tread blocks on these tires, Jack Frost will be no match for your MINI Cooper.
