How could that be you looking back from the mirror...you are a new mother and you should be thin; but you still have a lot of postpartum weight to get rid of. As a matter of fact, that is quite normal; most new mothers hang onto 10-15 pounds of pregnancy weight after delivery, many times it's even more. What do I do now. So, don't let it get you down....just start working on a plan that will kickstart your weight loss after pregnancy.

Starting out will be difficult to get the ball rolling and lose those pounds; but you can do it with a lot of motivation, a conference with your doctor, and a good eating plan with exercises to get you moving. The driving force behind this plan is you; make it happen and put this wonderful plan into action by getting motivated and taking action.

There is nothing quick or easy about all this and you will need to put your nose to the grindstone and invest some time; just don't be swayed by the quick weight loss claims of all those weird weight loss plans that don't work....they just want your money. It's absolutely crazy to even think about doing a rapid weight loss after pregnancy, ...
... even if you tried something like that in a normal state, you would be taking a chance.

This is the time to allow your body some time to heal and recover from all the swings it has recently gone through while navigating the pregnancy course; there was not only the pregnancy with all its inherent factors, but also the delivery and the toll that takes, and now breastfeeding. You'd be crazy to start a rapid weight loss plan now; don't overload your system while it is recovering. Slowly and gradually is the trick to losing the weight and do so within a 9 mos. period. It took 9 mos. to put it on, so at least allow the same time to drop it.

Get this; Mother Nature has thought of everything; your pregnancy weight gain is a necessary factor so your body is prepared to handle the burden of feeding the newborn who relies on you solely for food. You, as the new mother, must have a good support system nutritionally to be able to breastfeed the baby and be the sole support nutritionally for the baby. Once the baby is weaned from breastfeeding, the pregnancy weight on your body is no longer needed for anything, and it will begin to drop off naturally. Interestingly enough, many new mothers will be aware of a great drop in their pregnancy weight once the weaning process of the baby is finished.

This is really interesting; there have been a lot of studies done on new mothers and they show that when the mothers were breastfeeding they would be burning about 700 calories a day. Combined with other weight loss plans, this really could make a difference...but it still wouldn't carry a whole lot of influence in the weight loss after pregnancy area. How much exercise you are getting can be just as important a factor in maximizing a weight loss plan; just like a good dietary eating plan and all the scores of other factors that make a difference when combined.

There is no mystery here...you need a weight loss plan that can jumpstart you into getting the weight off your body in the most gradual natural way, but with maximum loss results; and one that will keep you nutritionally sound and healthy and able to take care of the baby and breastfeed at the same time. Your health is of utmost importance when you are taking care of a newborn, because if you are not up to snuff and healthy, then both the health and wellbeing of the baby and you suffers and you can't have that. Stick with your routine and just make sure you have covered all the bases so it is healthy and an easy one to live with. You went to all the work of creating this great plan, and it should be one you like and will use; because if it isn't, what's the point of it. Do your homework where your plan is concerned, then all will be okay and you can enjoy your new baby and your new life.
