There’s a tremendous stigma surrounding outsourcing services. People assume that outsourcing automatically means shipping jobs overseas. However, this is not always the case. As a matter of fact, all outsourcing means is that the company is paying a provider of a service for their efforts on behalf of the company. If your paychecks, for instance, come in from a payroll company on a weekly basis, then your payroll department is outsourced. The same is true for call centers. Companies can save money in the long run by outsourcing services that they only need temporarily, or that need additional crew during certain busy periods. Outsourcing services, especially call center services, can save a company thousands in overhead. This is a common mistake. Outsourcing services overseas takes jobs away from American people, but there are call centers in the USA as well. Outsourcing a service to a call center in the USA obviously does not take jobs away from people who need them. As a matter of fact, it’s an option that provides more jobs, not less. Call centers are indispensible, whether in-house, or as an outsourced service. The only difference is that in outsourcing a service, a company can reap all the rewards of an in=house call center, without all the headaches.

How does outsourcing provide job security?

Outsourcing services provides job security in the aspect that it’s a reliable and viable substitute for temporary employment. Whereas hiring a temporary staff will provide jobs over a short term for a handful of people, using an outsourcing service provides hundreds of people with steady, full-time work. Call centers have banks of operators dedicated to one thing: handling phones on behalf of the hiring company. Call centers in the USA have stables of operators that they train specifically for a given company when that company hires them as an outsourcing service. So, rather than having a corral of temporary, “ho-hum” employees that have resigned themselves to working for a couple of weeks, the company can instead have a staff of dedicated operators ready, willing, and able to handle all their needs.
