Tips Of Two Testy Recipes With Apple

Christmas time is the festive season with food and celebrating.Here is some Tips of some Recipes which make by Apple.

Apple Sponge Recipe:
Ingredients: -
• 7 oz cooking apples peeled cored and sliced
• 3 ½ oz caster sugar
• 2 tbsp. water
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• 6 tbsp. butter
• 2 eggs beaten
• ½ tsp vanilla essence
• 3 oz self-raising flour-sifted
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180C. Put the apples, 2 tbsp. of the sugar and the water in a saucepan. Cover and cook over a low heat for 4-5 min. Stir in the cinnamon pour into an ovenproof dish.
2. 2. Beat the butter with the remaining sugar using a wooden spoon. Add the eggs, vanilla essence and flour.Beat it until it's soft and creamy.
3. Spoon the sponge mixture over the apples and smooth it down gently with the back of the spoon.
4. bake for 30-35 min.

Parsnip Apple Soup:

Ingredients

* 20 g Butter
* 1 tbsp Olive oil
* 1 small Onion
* 3 medium Parsnips
* 2 Apples
* ½ tsp each Ground cumin ...
... and ground nutmeg
* 1 tsp Fresh thyme leaves
* 1 litre Vegetable stock (made with a cube or powder)
* To season to taste Salt and freshly ground black pepper
* To season to taste Ground nutmeg (optional)
* 2 - 3 tbsp Cream or creme fraiche

Method:
Peel and chop the parsnips and onion, and peel, core and chop the apples. Melt the butter and oil in a pan over a medium heat. Add the onion, parsnips and apples and cook gently for about 10 minutes, stirring now and then. Add the cumin, nutmeg and thyme and cook for a couple more minutes, then pour in the stock. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the parsnip is soft. Add a little hot water if the consistency is a little too thick. With a stick blender, or in a liquidiser, blend until smooth, stir in the cream or crème fraiche, season and serve.
