Team effectiveness can be achieved when members of a team improve the functioning of their team in areas like goals, relationships, leadership, roles, etc… In order to be effective, a team must ensure that it is open and responsive to the internal and external environment around it. The various goals of the team must be always kept in mind while designing procedures and implementing them. The vision of the team must be clearly known to all the members and the plans should be flexible in order to adapt to the ever changing environment. The team members must possess ethical values in order to complete their tasks effectively.

Team effectiveness is possible to achieve only when the members of the team have clear roles and responsibilities. Accountability to the leader helps to get all tasks completed on time and effectively. Every member must be provided with essential resources and required tools and equipments. In order to ensure proper coordination it is important to for the team members to have mutual trust and respect for one another. Leaders are very responsible and help in motivating all the other members of the team. The team members aim at personal growth in accordance with the growth of the team. Teams having exemplary performance are those that have proper coordination of the efforts of all the members. All the members are concerned about one another.
