In the United Kingdom, the legal system comprises solicitors and barristers. However, there is a fine difference between these two legal occupations. The solicitor exclusively and directly has immediate access to the client, and also picks and guides the barrister who is barred from dealing with the client directly. On the other hand, barrister is an official of the court and acts on behalf of the client. He is an official lawyer who has been acknowledged to appeal at the bar that means he has been invited to the bar. The invitation is actually given by the official benchers of the 4 Inns of Court in United Kingdom.

All the barristers and solicitors should have at least second-class honours degree from a reputed law college or institute. On the other hand, barristers must attend Inns of Court or other authorized Bar Vocational Course. All the law students should have at least 1 year practical training before they give their final exams. Once students pass the final bar exams the call is pursued by a 1 year pupilage in Barristers Chambers. This procedure permits the novice lawyer to take advantage from intermingling and ...
... attending the court with a knowledgeable barrister. The function of barristers in a particular legal system is to guarantee that justice is given to individuals with the finest representation in the court before the main judge.

The main responsibility of the barrister is with the court and hence to justice. Fundamentally, the barrister is permitted to appear in a court to defend a client's legal case. However, barristers are forbidden from integrating or joining as legal partners. Barristers can also become criminal lawyers depending upon their current expertise, experience and knowledge. But they should have at least 5-6 years of experience if they intend to become the best criminal lawyers in the city.

Barristers are not permitted to form partnerships, however; several barristers might easily make Barristers Chambers. The chamber can have single practitioners, and maybe a clerk who works for other barristers. Officially, a barrister is handed an honorarium and not a salary in return for the services offered to the clients. Clients cannot deal directly with barristers. They need to contact solicitors who fundamentally brief the barristers. The honorarium is remunerated to the lawyer who in turn gives it to the barrister. However, the client cannot be prosecuted by the barrister with respect to honorarium. There are several barristers in the United Kingdom that are there on SearchMe4.

Given the fact that there are hundreds of Barristers Chambers finding the right barrister can be a tough choice. The author has written several articles to help clients and solicitors look for competent Barristers. He has also written extensively to help people choose competent lawyer, especially Criminal Lawyers.
