Fiesta Dinnerware was designed by Frederick Hurten Rhead in 1936 and is now among the most collected china products in the world. As originally designed, the line featured art deco styling and bold, bright colors. The product was discontinued in 1973 and reissued in 1986 with new contemporary colors to mark its 50th anniversary. Fiesta Dinnerware's styling complements a wide range of decors. The fifteen bold colors complement one another as well as a wide range of interior palettes. Over 50 items in the line provide maximum service options and ensure consistent tabletop styling. The plate's coupe shape allows maximum food plating surface; sculpted concentric rings highlight and frame the food presentation. Alpha Alumina added to the body enhances durability and provides superior heat retention. An American icon for over 60 years and one of the world's most-collected dinnerware designs. Part of its lasting appeal is a sturdy design and colorful character. Fiesta will make you want to shout.

Shown here in shamrock, this gently sloped mixing bowl is the smallest of the trio. It makes a terrific baking dish, serving bowl, ...
... or yes, small mixing bowl. This decal is exclusive to Just Dishes Dinnerware. The ring handled mug was made in Turquoise, Peacock, Scarlet, Periwinkle, Sunflower & Tangerine. There were also large teapots, large disc pitchers & ornaments made in this design.

Fiesta incised mark on the bottom. The older versions (which were produced at HLC) were lighter in weight & at the base of the crock there was a small lip or ridge where the newer version there isn't one. Bright and stylish, these table linens will bring out the color of any meal. Featuring a variety of bold hues, these linens are embellished with an embroidered logo.

However, interest in Fiesta decreased and the last pieces of what we now call "old" Fiesta were produced. In 1987 Homer Laughlin resumed production of Fiesta dinnerware, but this time it was in slightly different colors which were more pastel. Today, collectors of Fiesta have a wide variety of both old and new pieces to collect, even though the older pieces in mint condition are becoming harder to find. Fiesta was designed by Frederick H.
