Metal music is a genre of music derived from rock music in the late 60’s. This genre of metal music made a difference to rock music for its characteristics. • Power metal – Power metal unlike the death metal and black metal is livelier with its use of upbeats and melodies. This fusion of metal music is also popular in west and the east.

• Gothic metal – Gothic metals come close to death and black metal. But unlike these fusions, gothic metal uses more of thick vocals and follows a speed tempo in the music.

These are a few fusions that were developed form the metal music. A few gestures such as head banging is common in all fusions of metal music. Head banging refers to the movement of head according to the beat.
