Every Big Idea Starts Small

20 years ago, could we have imagined that our world would be dominated by a technology called ‘Internet’? Today, it has become a much needed and appreciated part of our lives, much like the television that was the Big Kahuna of entertainment in the 1980s.

The Internet started from the small hypothesis bordering on the possibility of making point-to-point telecommunication contacts globally. No matter how preposterous such an idea was in the 1970s, it is a Reality today.

Every big idea starts small and sadly, most of these small ideas are discarded when they are not appreciated by peers, friends and family. What we often fail to understand is that every new and revolutionary idea is smirked upon at first.

Why?

Humans by nature are complacent.. We are a slave of our habits. And then if someone comes along and says, ‘I have a new idea that will work wonders’, we often feel, ‘What nonsense! It’s just another stupid idea’. Sensitive that we humans are, we tend to drop our ideas, then and there.
