Knowing Much Information About Sleep And Parasomnias
Bed-witting, nightmares, sleep walking, night terrors and sleep paralysis are types of Parasomnias, which also belong to sleep disorders and they often disturb people's normal sleep. Most parasomnias occur during arousals from REM sleep or partial arousals from Non-REM sleep.

This disorder is most commonly seen in children aged eight to twelve; however, sleepwalking can occur among younger children, the elderly and adults.
Confusional arousals usually occur when a person is awakened from a deep sleep during the first part of the night. People experiencing confusional arousals react slowly to commands and may have trouble understanding questions that they are asked.
Sleep paralysis: Sleep paralysis is a transient inability to move or speak as one goes from sleep to wakefulness, without other findings characteristic of narcolepsy. People who have sleep paralysis may find they are lucidum but they cannot control their limbs to follow their mind's commands.
REM sleep behavior disorder: People who have REM sleep behavior disorder acts out dramatic and/or violent dreams during REM sleep. Usually, RBD occurs in men aged 50 and older, but the disorder also can occur in women and in younger people.
