Beale Air Force Base
: The Beale Air Force Base is home of the distinguished and respected 9th Reconnaissance Wing of the United States Air Force. Their mission is to provide premium and dependable high-altitude reconnaissance products to the national command center in a timely fashion. To help carry through with this mission, the Beale Air Force Base has on location a fleet of RQ- 4 and U- 2 reconnaissance aircraft and appropriate support equipment. Ellis Lake
: This majestic, man-made lake has long been the pride and joy of the city of Marysville. What once was a unsightly swamp is now a popular, family-friendly attraction for geese-feeding, pedal boating, and fishing. Have a picnic on the green grass shores or take a peaceful walk around the well kept sidewalk that encircles the sparkling body of water. A day at Ellis Lake is sure to be a memorable and relaxing experience.

Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm
: Anyone who has ever visited Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm of nearby Wheatland, California would admit that there is something very special and unforgettable about this fun-filled attraction. Offering visitors a number of neat things to experience like a corn maze, railroad rides, petting zoos, and, of course, pumpkin patches, this old, family-owned destination is a must for those looking to make their Northern California vacation something special. The incredible restaurant and bakery at Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm will ensure that both kids as well as adults have an enjoyable time. For more information visit: http://www.webpumpkins.com/index.htm

Sutter Buttes
: While driving north on Highway 65 toward Marysville, the Sutter Buttes dominate much of the horizon, soaring above the flat plains at a peak of 2,117 feet above sea level. Often referred to as the “Smallest Mountain Range in the World”, the Sutter Buttes may not break any records for their height, but they do provide a wonderful view for those who drive through or around them. Although most of the land surrounding the Buttes is privately owned, guests can take part in the organized hikes and bike tours up and around the mountain. Also, for fans of golf, the South Ridge Golf Course allows players to experience the Sutter Buttes up close.

Timbuctoo and Smartsville
: These two Old West towns of Northern California played an essential role during the Gold Rush period of the mid 1800’s. Timbuctoo, once the large town in Yuba County, was home to the Wells Fargo Office, which was responsible for holding and shipping millions of dollars worth of the gold that was extracted from the rich California land. Today, the remnants of the Wells Fargo Office can still be visited. Just a few miles east of Timbuctoo via Highway 20 lies Smartsville, home of the Church of Immaculate Conception and the Union Church, built in 1861 and 1863 respectively.
