Many people have a notion that meditation is a very easy and simple thing and can be done at any time. But when these people tried to meditate for the first time, all their notions were proved wrong and they agreed that meditation is not that easy in the initial levels. The question that obviously comes at this point is, “How to meditate for beginners”. There is nothing to worry in it. There are many meditation techniques for beginners that are really great and very effective for beginners of meditation. They have made meditation quite easy for people who are really interested in it. After practicing the beginners’ meditation techniques, you will be able to handle stress, tension and anxiety very well in your life and remain away from various kinds of psychological ailments.


Here are some simple tips about how to meditate for beginners . These will help you meditate well and also prepare you for advanced meditation techniques:

• Maintaining the right posture is a prerequisite for any kind of meditation. Thus, adjust the right posture, try and keep your back straight and firm, but make sure that you are comfortable and not over stressing yourself in the process.


• Try moving your head in small circles very slowly. If you cannot do that, move the head in the front and backwards directions as well as on the sides. Be careful in doing these beginner meditation techniques if you have suffered from stroke or are under medication of any kind for the same.


• Another easy step as how to meditate for beginners is to relax your shoulders and roll them up and down slowly so remove their stiffness.


• Stretch the legs and let the other body parts like the knees, thighs, ankles and feet relax.


• Mindful breathing is one of the most important steps in how to meditate for beginners. In this, you have to concentrate on your breathing cycle and keep a note of your inhaling and exhaling process. Initially your mind will drift away from this, but with time, you will be able to control your breathing.
