Learning More About Binaural Beats

Binaural beats are referred to specific external auditory beats, on perceiving which the brain starts reacting to rouse physical stimuli. After a thorough research on this subject experts came know to about the physical characteristics of binaural beats. Did you know that everyday your brain undergoes a myriad of frequency cycles? In most cases the frequency cycles have a strong effect on the conscious state of human mind. Today experts and researchers have found that frequencies can be used to initiate external stimuli. In such cases the brain has the capacity to alter current frequencies to comply with or match with the external stimuli. It has been found out that when a normal person sleeps, the brainwaves have the power to undergo 4 cycles/sec; however, the situation is different if a flash light passes at around 4 times in a second. The waves tend to catch up the speed and match with the external stimuli. This actually provokes a human to fall asleep.
These are highly powerful brainwaves with a heightened level of frequency which can measure up to around 20 Hz or less. Scientists make use of these frequencies ...
... to alter human state of consciousness. Binaural beats have been developed as a technological solution to support altered state of the mind. This technical response helps the brain to produce waves at preferred frequencies. So how do you think this entre theory works? This theory is based on a model whereby it was found by researchers that in case an individual is interested in tuning his brainwave to say around 9Hz, the brain starts acting accordingly. Now if either of the ears is tuned to hear a sound measured at 209 Hz and the other gets to hear a sound at 200 Hz then the brainwaves automatically produce a separate frequency measured exactly at 9Hz. As a result of this the brainwaves on trying to match up with the 3rd frequency will now produce a similar frequency which is lower and accurately 9Hz.
A study on binaural beats conducted by Dr. Thomas Budzynski revealed some interesting facts. Some students desired that their GPA be increased with the help of audio brainwaves. Interestingly Budzynski found that GPA continued with its increasing properties even after completion of the process. Binaural beats are categorized under Monaural and Isochronic tone. In case of monaural beats, experts make use of two tones which give rise to a single tone before reaching the brain. This single tone again gives way to a desired frequency. Monaural beats are far better than Binaural beats because it doesn’t taxes the brain to send a separate frequency. However isochronic tones slightly differ in characteristics than the monaural tone. The sound automatically pulses an on-off mode.
