Run The Scanpst Tool For Rectifying The Cyclic Redundancy Check Error

Cyclic Redundancy Check Error or data error is the most frequently occurring error in MS Outlook. It plunges into the action when MS Outlook is directed to download mails on the system. The error strikes in the following form:
File path\ filename.pst could not be accessed, Data error, Cyclic redundancy check.
By segregating the error into pieces we can know the actual meaning of this error. In this error path means the path of the corrupt PST file and Data error means the error which has occurred because of downloading the PST file onto the system. A user can repair this error with the help of scanpst.exe outlook 2007 tool. He would have to download (sometimes this facility is inbuilt in the system) Scanpst tool for conducting a check on the hard disk.
Steps for checking the hard disk with the Scanpst tool
Step 1: Run the cmd command by running cmd in the open box.
Step 2: Type chkdsk /f at the command prompt.
Note:If a counter message appears that “the Format being used is of NTFS and unable to lock the current drive” then assume ...
... that the chkdsk command has failed to respond as the same volume is being used in another process. The message also provides an alternative to postpone the volume check after a restart with Yes or No.
Step 3: Hit Y for restarting the system.
Step 4: Close the Chkdsk option and shut the command prompt.
Step 5: Move forward to the next step if still the PST files are not opening.
Now the user would have to recreate the PST file folder
Step 1: Close the MS Outlook and double click to open Internet Explorer.
Step 2: Formulate a backup copy of damaged PST file folder which is found at:
Drive: \Documents and Settings\UserID\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
In this command, Drive signifies the boot drive; UserID signifies the I.D; LocaleID signifies the LCID (locale identifier) for installation in MS Office.
Step 3: Rename the Outlook.pst as OLD.pst by clicking the rename option in file menu (Go to Outlook.pst.> File menu> click Rename> Enter OLD.pst).
Step 4: Now use the Inbox Repair Tool for repairing the OLD.pst folder.
Devise a new PST file folder:
Step 1: Go to MS Outlook.
Note: Here a message would appear that the PST file folders cannot be found – because they have been renamed.
Step 2: Provide a new .pst file name in the Create/Open Personal Folder File dialog box.
Step 3: Select Open.
Step 4: Modify the settings>> OK>> Yes and move the information from to the new PST files.
Step 5: Go to View menu >> click Folder View.
Step 6: Select the Import and Export option.
Step 7: Click the Import from another program or file and proceed to Next.
Step 8: Browse and select the Personal Folder File and click Next.
Step 9: Now File to Import>> Browse OLD.pst file>> Next.
Step 10: Scroll the folder to import from option and select Personal Folders.
Step 11: Click Include Subfolders check box.
Step 12: Now open the PST file in MS Outlook.
For saving yourself from this rigorous PST repair operation, it's important that you make a proper use of scanpst outlook 2010 tool. This tool recovers all the corrupted, deleted and orphaned PST files in just minute’s time.
