In the one-year study, 30 participants who had viral hepatitis consumed a beverage containing mandarin juice daily and showed no signs of liver cancer.

Mandarin juice is a healthy and useful therapeutic beverage, which can be recommended even to small children and sick people. Those eating the most cryptoxanthin-rich foods showed a 27% reduction in lung cancer risk. Some other foods that are high in crytpoxanthin include pumpkin, corn, papaya, red bell peppers, tangerines and peaches. Mandarin fruit extract oil helps maintain the acid and base balance in the stomach and protects it from ulcers and other disorders. It also fights any infections in the stomach.
