No matter how hard you try, there is no way you can keep everything off of your couch unless you do drape it in that dreaded plastic.

There are many slipcovers which only cover the cushions which are used to be seated. This will give your couch two different colors and a definitely a unique look. No one will ever get the insights that you are using a slipcover to cover up the red wine you had spilled on the couch or the burn mark created by the candle.
