There is a common misconception among people that chiropractic treatments are free from side effects. Most people do not have adequate knowledge about the risks and the possible side effects involved with chiropractic treatments and adjustments. Most of the chiropractors do not explain the side effects one could face while getting treatment from a chiropractor. If you know about the possible side effects then you could alert your physician when you encounter unwanted symptoms. You can get it treated by a medical professional before it reaches an irreversible state.

Are chiropractors doctors? No, they are not qualified doctors; they have a doctorate of chiropractic or DC. Patients who undergo chiropractic treatment must know its possible side effects before they undergo treatment. Here we can find some of the side effects that could affect a person after undergoing chiropractic manipulation.

Common types of side effects for people who undergo treatment for spinal and neck problems are:

(a)Sudden fatigue and body weakness

(b)Headaches and severe migraine

(c)Severe pain from an old injury or fracture

(d)Body ...
... pain and dizziness in some cases

In rare cases bruising also occurs during the treatment procedure.

When treating a herniated disc or pain in the lower spinal column, there is possibility of encountering other serious outcomes. Some of the side effects for this treatment are:

(a)Severe body pain

(b)Difficulty to control bladder

(c)Unable to control bowel movements

(d)Nervous disorders

In some extreme cases the victim may face problems making it difficult to walk. Stroke is also one of the leading serious injuries resulting from treatment. In most of the cases the serious side effects are rare but still there are many lives that are affected by them each year. If you feel some unusual symptoms after a treatment then it is good to immediately seek medical attention.

Even though some problems can be treated effectively, many cannot be cured with the help of chiropractor and only prolonged. Some which are difficult to treat include osteoporosis, hernia, spondylitis, infection in bone, etc. Chiropractic treatment to these types of ailments can only further worsen the symptoms instead of providing relief.

Chiropractor salary is lower than the regular medical professional. Are chiropractors doctors? Most people are not aware about it.
