Jay Sekulow A renowned attorney, Jay Sekulow was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised Jewish, but converted to Christianity in college and now considers himself a messianic Jew.
Education and Early Career
Jay Sekulow graduated cum laude and went on to earn a doctor of jurisprudence from Mercer Law School, where he graduated from among the top 5 percent of his class. He also served as an editorial staff member of the Mercer Law Review while he is still a student at Mercer. Later he acquired his Ph.D from Regent University, authoring his dissertation on American Legal History.
After he graduated from law school, Jay Sekulow started his renowned legal career as a trial tax attorney for the Office of the Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) where he stand for the United Sates Department of Treasury in tax cases before the US Tax Court. After working with the IRS, Jay Sekulow begin his private practice, building one of the fastest-growing law firms in Atlanta, Georgia.
