Edificio Is The First Place To Find A Venue In Brussels ~ Edificio Offers Multiple Venues To Organiz
Situated in Leopold Park in the heart of the European Quarter, the Solvay Library can host any type of event. Behind its simple classical facade, the Bibliothèque Solvay hides a rich decor of precious wood, mosaics and stained glass windows. This listed building, designed in 1902 by famous architects Constant Bosmans and Henri Vandeveld, is one of the finest examples of eclecticism in Belgium. Its construction was financed by the Belgian industrialist Ernest Solvay. The building was formerly home to the Institute for Sociology of the Université libre de Bruxelles. The ground and first floors are built around a magnificent Reading Room with study rooms and galleries to either side. This prestigious setting lends a particular elegance and charm to your event. The lower ground floor has been renovated in a contemporary style and is ideal for lunches and coffee breaks during conferences or for finishing the evening around the bar. When the weather allows it, the terrace is a very nice place for receptions, with a magnificent view on Leopold Park. ~ Located in the heart of the European district, the Concert Noble is a unique meeting ...
... point due to its historical significance and its architectural design. The Concert Noble is one of the largest rooms in the capital. It can offer incomparable comfort for receptions of up to 750 people, dinners up to 650, balls, international seminars and conferences, concerts, fashion shows... The Concert Noble Society was founded in 1785 by Archduke Albert de Saxe-Teschen and Marie- Christine of Austria, and in 1873 Leopold II asked architect Henri Beyaert to design a building and reception rooms to host the Belgian aristocracy. The design was unique: Henri Beyaert created a set of rooms, increasing in size, gradually passing from a gallery to a salon, a card room, a buffet and a banqueting room to culminate in the impressive ballroom that occupies an area of 400m² under a 15m high ceiling. Although every section has its own decorative character, mainly in Louis XVI style, the rooms form a harmonious group that can be rented together or separately. ~ The former departure hall at Brussels Airport has not been used in its original capacity since 1970 when it became an exceptional venue for hosting events. The Sky Hall remains unchanged since its construction in 1958: the large glass façade, high chequered ceilings covered in tubular structures, woodwork, aluminium – like at the Atomium –, 50s-style balustrades and some 1700 m² providing an unrestricted view of tarmac and sky ! The Sky Hall is one of the largest multi-functional venues in Belgium to enjoy such a central and wellserved location. It has capacity for large-scale events: cocktail buffets, concerts, shows for over 1,500 people, dinners and conferences for some 1,200 people, product launches and trade fairs… Almost anything is possible at the Sky Hall ; give free rein to your imagination and our team will help you create the environment that meets your needs ! Brussels is the world's second international meeting place and its airport has a large hotel infrastructure for your guests' accommodation. ~ Hotel Wielemans is a charming, picturesque venue that delights guests with its Hispano-Moresque design. This particular hotel from the Art Deco period (1925) is a prestigious setting in which to host events such as cocktail buffets, meetings and dinners. The house was imagined by architect Adrien Blomme, on the request of M. Léon Wielemans, the famous Brussels brewer, as a present for his wife. Since Mrs. Wielemans was fascinated by Spain, the couple took their architect to Granada. In the settings of the Alhambra, the architect did his first drawings of the building. The living room at the heart of the house, was therefore designed as a covered patio, onto which opened a big staircase and the main rooms. The garden and terrace were also designed in the Andalusian style in which water is a predominant feature. IN 1994, the Royal Commission for monuments and sites listed the house and its garden, as it reflects the expression of a certain modernism during the Roaring Twenties in Brussels. This charming setting will give an extra special touch to your event.
