Guru Rattana, Ph.D. is a leading teacher and author of Kundalini yoga instructional books. Her lifelong passions for spiritual enlightenment, inner-peace, and awareness have led Guru Rattana on a wondrous journey of personal growth and fellowship. This journey began when she was only 26 years old. Beginning her studies, she spent eight years learning Hatha Yoga. Later, she studied under Yogi Bhajan for just about 26 years. Additionally, she has studied Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Chi Gong.
Not only did Guru Rattana nurture her growth through Kundalini yoga, meditation, and other disciplines, she also fed her mind by pursuing an exceptional education. She spent time studying in Paris, France as well as in Italy, the United States, and nearly six years in Geneva, Switzerland. Following the receipt of her Doctorate Degree in Political Science, she spent many years building her academic career. From International Environment and Development studies at MIT and Dartmouth College to teaching Philosophy and History in San Diego, Guru Rattana continued to grow and reach out to her students in all areas of her life.
