Phuket Property: A Top Class Property At A Knock-down Price
Are you interested in making some money?
Or getting a 5-star property in Phuket, Thailand at a knock-down price?
If you are, maybe you should come and have a look at this villa.
It’s at Surin Beach and this is the view...

Not bad is it?
It looks right across Surin Beach to the Amanpuri Hotel’s headland.
There are only 9 villas on this estate.
And this one is twice the size of the rest - with a living area of 800m2 and a land plot of 1,400m2
The villa has 8 en-suite bedrooms, a huge 150m2 open-plan living/dining/western kitchen, a home cinema, a Thai kitchen, a workshop, 2 storerooms, laundry, maids room and a garage with parking for up to 6 cars.
There is also a private 20-metre infinity-edge swimming pool and a large terrace.
The design is contemporary with pitched shingle roofs on the master bedroom and Thai sala.
A lot of money was spent on the interiors...
Bathrooms ...
... are finished in travertine marble, living room floors are polished granite and the western kitchen has Siemens appliances. All the bedrooms have wooden floors.
The thing I like best is it’s very private - there are landscaped gardens to one side and virgin rain forest on the other.
Plus, you can walk to Surin Beach in less than 5 minutes.
So why the knock-down price?
The owner built this as his family home. That is why no expense was spared.
It was finished in 2008.
But in 2010 he had to go back to Europe due to his work so he no longer needs it.
He’s not been back since and the villa has suffered a little as a result - it looks a bit tired.
What do you need to do to make it perfect?
It will not take much (money or effort) to make it perfect again.
To be honest it is a bit of a mess; the terraces need cleaning, a few of the bedroom floors need some varnish, the metal railings need painting and so do the exterior walls.
And it needs some colour - things like plants, paintings and some nice fabrics will make all the difference.
If you spent 1,000,000 Baht (US$ 32,420) you would be able to do a bang-up job.
OK. But what is the price?
The price is 59,000,000 Baht (US$ 1,912,790).
That includes all the furniture, fixtures and fittings - basically what you see is what you get.
Unfortunately there is absolutely no haggling - it’s priced to sell.
And when you’ve sorted things out, a conservative value would be 80,000,000 Baht (US$ 2,593,613).
But 100,000,000 Baht (US$ 3,242,016) is more realistic with this location and view.
