Insomnia is a condition in which people suffers from lack of sleep. It is a common condition and equally affects the young as well as old. In this condition the people are not in a condition to sleep. This may be due to reduced level of melatonin in the brain. Some of the other causes of insomnia are stress, deficiency in iron or magnesium, depression and many others. Sometimes due to hormonal imbalance also people may suffer from insomnia. Our sleep is also affected by the food and the drink that we eat before going to sleep. It is advisable not to eat over or take any stimulating beverages such as coffee. The best thing to have a good sleep is to take a good glass of warm milk. Try to avoid sweets and increase the intake of foods which are rich in magnesium for your dinner.
