When you are filtering liquids and chemicals, it is naturally important that you choose the right type of filters. For instance, some filter materials are more resistant to harsh chemicals than others, so you need to choose one that is compatible with what you are filtering.

The same concept applies to filter housing: there is a range of filter housing available, meaning you can choose a product to fit with the filter membrane you are using. Filter housing can be made out of various materials, depending on what you need it for. As an example, if you are filtering non-aggressive solutions or biological matter, you could use a PVC filter or perhaps an acrylic copolymer.

By contrast, if you are filtering solvents then a polypropylene filter house might be more appropriate. It is also possible to get glass filter housing, which can be used for solvents that are considered to be aggressive.
