9 Months Pregnant – The Last Steps Before Motherhood

Although being pregnant is something magical, in the last month it seems like it will never be over. Just hold on, there is only little time left.
What to expect from the 9 months pregnancy?
The little one is getting bigger and bigger every day and it is slowly moving towards your pelvis. The advantage is that the breathing problems you had before seem to disappear, but you will have to visit the restroom more often. At this moment in case you have contractions the health care provider wouldn’t stop labor. Now the practitioner could estimate the weight of the baby through palpating it. The majority of the babies are head down when you are 36 weeks pregnant.
When you get to be 37 weeks pregnant, the little one is already practicing breathing, and it is also possible for the baby to have hiccups. Although it seems unconceivable at the moment, you will miss the movements of the little one.
If labor starts in this week, it is said that you have a ‘term’ pregnancy, and the practitioner wouldn’t do anything to stop it. Also this is the time to learn about the difference between labor and prelabor.
Although ...
... until now the little one has been gaining weight continuously, when you are 38 weeks pregnant this process slows down, and in some cases it could completely stop.
You should expect to feel funny things in your legs and also in vagina because the little one is hitting nerves when moving. If you have other children as well, you should encourage them to take part at your preparation for labor, if they feel comfortable with it.
The second part of 9 months pregnancy
It is interesting to know about being 39 weeks pregnant that the little one has bowel movements in the uterus as well, and he or she could pass stool before getting born.
Another interesting fact is that the amniotic fluid is changed every three hours. This is a fluid that is mainly made of the baby’s urine, sweat and other bodily fluids.
The immune system of the little one when you are 40 weeks pregnant is still immature and he or she gets the antibodies from the placenta and after getting born the antibodies will be provided by breast milk. By this time the majority of the lanugo has disappeared, but still after birth there might be some spots where you can find it.
It has come the time to meet your little one and experience the indescribable joy of motherhood.
