It is hard to deny the fact that the Xperia Arc is one of the best looking phones of all time, but the phone did not back itself with equal credentials in other areas like performance. This has led to the Xperia Arc to be a phone that it did not utilise its potential to the maximum. In order to reinvent this phone, Sony Ericsson has gone to the drawing board and have come up with a few additions, which makes the phone extremely good. Rather than launching it under the same name, Sony Ericsson will be introducing the Xperia Arc S.

This phone creates all the magic in the design itself, which is similar to the previous versions. Clearly, there was nothing wrong with the design of the phone. The 4.2 inch display is also similar to the one seen in the previous versions, while the technology and the other associated features are also similar. This includes the Bravia Mobile engine, LED backlit LCD technology, proximity sensor, accelerometer and gyro sensor. They make the display of the Xperia Arc S look extremely brilliant. However, this display was not used at its full potential by the predecessor, which is one of the areas ...
... where the Xperia Arc S will be making significant changes.

One of the main reasons for the failure of the Xperia Arc has to be the lack of processing power needed to run the Android 2.3.3 version. Perhaps, Sony Ericsson forgot slightly the art of making a powerful processor, but they seem to have gotten their act together in the Xperia Arc S. This phone comes with a powerful 1.4 GHz single core processor, which will allow the Xperia Arc S to even run the Android 2.3.4 version. This is the version that is present in the Xperia Arc S, which is all but surprising given that previous models from Sony Ericsson were not specifically known for introducing the latest Android operating system version. One of the areas where the Xperia Arc was almost brilliant was made megapixel camera, but here too, Sony Ericsson has clearly seen the need for improvement.

As a result, the Xperia Arc S will be coming with the ability to shoot 3-D pictures using the same eight megapixel camera. The phone will be able to do this due to intelligent changes to the algorithm of the camera, which is now capable of doing 3-D image shooting without any changes to the physical aspect whatsoever. The Xperia Arc S retains the same 512 MB of RAM, while the Adreno GPU is used in the Xperia Arc S to extract the maximum performance. The connectivity options were extremely brilliant on the Xperia Arc and it is not surprising to know that the Xperia Arc S comes with the same kind of features. The Xperia Arc S has just been announced by Sony Ericsson, and it will go on sale in the United Kingdom for around £ 390 within the next few weeks.
